Over the last week, Paul and Jane Meyer High School had 17 students attend the State Leadership Conference to compete in 10 different events related to the Business, Media, and Informational Technology fields. We just received the results from this competition, and below are the results
Finalist - Visual Design - Lucy Ward and River Ward - 10th Place
Finalist - Job Interview - Marco Cunningham - 8th Place
Finalist - Introduction to Business Presentation - Lincoln Kelley - 6th Place
For the second year in a row, we have also had a group qualify for the National Leadership Conference, which is in Anaheim, California, but they didn't just get top 4:
1st Place - Marketing - Caedmon Kelley and Roy Carney
As an extremely small chapter (Many chapters have 100+ members), this is such a huge feat with our students competing across all levels of UIL (1A - 6A). All students who attended had also competed in the Area Leadership Conference and have spent months preparing their projects to compete against 2000+ students at the conference.
Congratulations to all our students who competed:
Kieran Baack, Michael Luna, Julie Solano - Graphic Design
Jemiria McCray - Business Ethics
Lucas Mitchell and Jaxon Thomas - Website Design
Abby Polk - Sales Presentation
Andrew Ramirez and Jared Ventura - Digital Video Production
Matthew Rodriguez - Social Media Strategies
And thank you to Jason M. Stahl, Lindsay Pack and Dustin Ward our FBLA Co-Advisors!
