School Counseling Services

School Counseling Services are provided by our counselors, Ashely Ugulano and Yazmeen Lopez. These services are available to any Rapoport student grades PK-12. Please note that school counseling services are not intended as a substitute for a professional diagnosis or treatment of a mental health disorder.  A list of referrals and community resources is available upon request.

Mental Health Resources

  • If someone you know is in immediate physical danger, please contact 911 or local law enforcement for help. If the threat of physical danger isn't immediate, here are things you can do to help: 

     

    During School Hours: Report your concerns to the crisis counselor, an administrator, or a teacher.

     

    Outside of School Hours: At night, over the weekend, during the summer, or anytime you are not at school you should tell a trusted adult, parent/guardian, or call 911.

     

    Online or on Social Media: You can also report self-harm and suicidal comments or photos on social media sites. Click the links below for specific instructions:

    We can all help prevent suicide. The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals.  Call 1-800-273-8255.

    The Crisis Text Line serves anyone, in any type of crisis, providing access to free, 24/7 support and information via a medium people already use and trust: text. Here’s how it works:

    1. Text HOME to 741741 from anywhere in the United States, anytime, about any type of crisis.
    2. A live, trained Crisis Counselor receives the text and responds, all from our secure online platform.
    3. The volunteer Crisis Counselor will help you move from a hot moment to a cool moment
