From the first day of Pre-K all the way to Graduation, we want to partner with you for your child’s education.

Rapoport Academy believes that parent and family engagement is critical in the success of our mission and vision.  We encourage all parents to be engaged in their child’s education helping us ensure all students succeed academically. We want to partner with you to improve student academic performance and overall district communications with you as parents.

GEO- Guardian Educator Organizations

One way to be involved as a parent is to volunteer at your student’s campus with the GEO, or Guardian Educator Organization. This group supports our students' educational and social experiences through volunteer work and fundraising.

SHAC- School Health Advisory Council

The School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is a parent-led group, appointed by the school district, that focuses on issues related to: 

  • Family and community involvement
  • Nutrition
  • Physical education
  • Health education
  • Counseling, psychological & social services
  • Health services
  • Health promotion for school staff

RAD- Rapoport Awesome Dads

Rapoport Awesome Dads (RAD) is an initiative to encourage dads, uncles, brothers, and other positive male role models to become more active in their students’ education. The presence and involvement of dads and other positive male role models protect children from many vulnerabilities.

Our Parent Liaison, Catrena Thomas, is dedicated to supporting our Raven families. She can assist you with a variety of needs, including:

  • Information and Resources: Providing information and resources to help families.
  • Personalized Support: Discussing your specific needs and concerns.
  • Community Connections: Connecting you with community resources for:
    • Food
    • Clothing
    • School supplies
    • Medical care
    • SNAP benefits
    • Medicaid
  • Student Well-being: Checking on your student during difficult times.
